Make your own responsive WordPress blog on a shoestring budget

I peruse the internet everyday.  There is so much delicious information out there. When I came across this video entitled, “How to make a WordPress Website – AMAZING!” by Tyler Moore (see below) I just knew I had to share it with you.

This video is for amateurs, novice and professionals.

Tyler Moore’s video of choice was a Responsive WordPress theme by CyberChimps.  Responsive WordPress themes are flexible. When you shrink the size of the internet page the blog conforms to fill up the space, so you won’t have to use the levers on the side or bottom of your screen.

Below are a few of plug-ins that he used in the video.

  • Black Studio TinyMCE Widget (enables you to have a visual editor for your widgets)
  • Contact Form 7 (flexible contact form)
  • YouTube Subscribe widget (“Adds a sidebar widget to show a YouTube number of subscribers, number of videos details and SUBSCRIBE button”)

I followed the tutorial in the video and put this blog together in about 15 minutes.  I still have some tweaking, however I was impressed with the flexibility of this blog as well as the handy tips Moore provided.

Happy Blogging,
