6 Ways to attract clients

What Are You Doing To Attract Clients?

You cannot wait for business to come to you. Keep in mind, you can be the most talented person in your field, HOWEVER if no one knows about you, then you mine as well be invisible.

In order to create visibility, you must market your brand, starting with yourself.

Brand yourself by becoming a reliable source.

6 Ways To Become a Reliable Source

  1. Create a blog or website
    • Provide valuable content
  2. Create fusion partnerships
    • Work with like vendors and/or vendors that compliment your business
  3. Do media appearances (TV, Radio, Guest Blog, etc.)
  4. Become active in the community
    • Volunteer for a local charity, school, food bank, etc.
  5. Link Exchange
    • Offer to post the link to someone’s website on your blog/website in return for the same.
  6. Conduct free webinars

Create a press release each and every time you do one of the above.

In addition to the list of ways to be a reliable source, also promote others besides yourself. This will give you a sharing feel opposed to the broken “me, me, me, me” song.

In order to attract customers, you cannot sit on your rear and expect them to ring your door bell. Sometimes you have to go to the business.

You have to stay ahead of the pack and stay on top of technology. Most clients and potential clients do not own a crystal ball. Consumers are open to new things; HOWEVER they need you to create them. If you do not create and market new ideas, someone else will. And if someone else will, that means that someone else will be depositing money instead of you.

“Customers don’t always know what they want. The decline in coffee-drinking was due to the fact that most of the coffee people bought was stale and they weren’t enjoying it. Once they tasted ours and experienced what we call “the third place”. a gathering place between home and work where they were treated with respect. They found we were filling a need they didn’t know they had.” ~ Howard Schultz, Starbucks

EDUCATE your clients and potential clients regarding the types of services and products you offer.

How do I educate my clients?

“Record one idea to be shared over and over again” ~ David Fagan, CEO of Guerilla Marketing. Fagan calls this Law of Multiplication.

How Can I Achieve This?

You can achieve recording one idea to be multiplied and shared over and over again via handouts, checklists (wedding checklists, how to prepare for a model photoshoot, etc.), questionnaires and videos.
